Indivisible groups across the country have raised over $50,000 to support their activism using our new distributed fundraising program over the last few months.
If you haven’t heard about it, Indivisible Project’s distributed fundraising program lets you set up an ActBlue page and fundraise for events, programs, and actions. And we’ll send you a debit card so you can spend the money you raised on expenses for your group!
As we head into the midterms, we want to make sure ALL Indivisible groups have the necessary resources to continue building this #BlueWave. That’s why we’re excited to announce two updates to our distributed fundraising program:
Your funds will be matched one-for-one until October!
Beginning in June through October, all funds you raise through our distributed fundraising program will be matched one-for-one, up to $500!
Matching grants are a tried and true fundraising tactic. Donors are much more likely to give if they know their impact will be doubled. So as you’re raising funds, you can (and should!) let prospective donors know that for every $1 they give, your group will receive $2. That adds up quickly!
The match starts in June, but here’s how you can get started now:
Select one person from your group to be the treasurer and fill out the application here.
Once your treasurer is approved, we’ll get in touch with more information to complete your setup.
We’re lowering the overhead costs of the distributed funding!
We’re really, really proud of this program and the services is provides to Indivisible groups, and we’re trying to keep the cost to you and your group as low as possible. That’s why, starting June 1, we’re lowering the the services fees from 15% to 10%. That means we’ll be offering this program at a loss, but that’s just how committed we are to making it as useful and accessible to as many groups as possible.
